Watermelon Yarn?

I've made this new yarn and I've named it Watermelon. I really love the name because it just fits so well, and I think this pic really showcases the colors. In the picture, though, it looks as though the yarn is touching the watermelon...trust me, it's not!

So here's the question. Does the fact that I took this picture with the yarn so close to the watermelon make the yarn look "sticky"? It's just that whenever I think of watermelon (and I do often this time of year, yum!) I can almost feel that sticky feeling on my fingers...of course maybe not everyone is as messy as me when it comes to eating watermelon! What do you think?

My first thoughts when I saw the picture was wow that looks like watermelon, hey wait..is that real watermelon touching the yarn?? While I would assume that you wouldn't sell me "sticky watermelon" yarn, other people might be turned off or worried. Either way, love the colors!

I can see your concern but I thought it looked cool how much of an extension of the fruit it was. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it, sure of the fact that someone as into their fiber as you wouldn't sell sticky stuff. It is just beautiful!

Thanks to you all for your comments! It makes me feel so good that people think my yarn is pretty! I think I will revamp the watermelon pic though :)

NO!! I think it's Perfect!!!

Watermelon Is EXACTLY what this yarn Should be..& adding a Slice of Watermelon next to the yarn is Such a CUTE SWEET Idea.. Just shows Great Imagination..
& if someone were silly enough to assume your Yarn is mushed up IN the Watermelon.. Then that is just THEIR Loss.. & lack Of imagination!
My Crazy oppionin of Course.. But I LOVE it!

Nitegardener: I looked at your blog...great by the way! And I can't believe you love the movie The Egg and I! It was one of my favorite books. I've only seen a clip of the movie...haven't been able to snag the entire thing yet. I didn't think anyone else even knew about it anymore...what a kick!!! I feel very uplifted. Thanks for that!

Great picture and it shows how true your colors are. Not sticky at all!
