Meet Max!

This has got to be a first! My husband was commissioned by a very nice lady to create some "jewelry" for a metal sculpture that she was having built. Check out these awesome photos that she sent of the finished product!

Steel My Art on Etsy's Front Page!

My husband's Etsy shop Steel My Art was on Etsy's Front Page this morning with his "Oink, Oink, Oink" little piggy garden art! We are so excited! Please check it out if you get a chance!http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=27291678My

Moving Day for The Goats!

Today was moving day for Badger and The Goats! It was really a little unnerving but also exciting for everyone. It took us most of the day to put the finishing touches on "Goatland" including fencing in their goat yard, moving and improving the feeder, and moving some yucky goat bedding so that they would feel more at home...oh and of course we had to move Badger's feeder as well! Boy, was everyone upset when we moved the feeders out of the old barn and into the new. I think they all thought that they would never eat again! But as you can see, we soon alleviated those fears by administering great big "goat treats"! Even Badger got a well deserved peanut butter flavored gourmet doggie cookie :)

Come play in the AppleTree House!

I recently discovered this amazing new doll designer Debra Brucker. Her Etsy shop is called Apple Tree House and she makes beautiful and earth friendly Waldorf style dolls. She is currently making one with some of my yarns which are on their way to her as we "speak". I can't wait to see her latest creation! Here's wishing her continued success and here's the link to her fabulous shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/AppleTreeHouse

It's about Time!

Well I guess it's about time for another post....or maybe way past! Yesterday was another "barnbuilding day" and we finished the lean-to...finally! Next step is gutters and the french drain. Then there's nothing left to do but fencing....YUK! On a more comedic (but also heartwrenching) note, check out my favorite chicken Goldie. She's not so gold anymore! I have never seen a chicken molt quite like this one! Hopefully her next set of eggs will profit from the transformation! Here's a cute pic of Mr. T, after this month's shearing. I left a little fur on his feet since he looked so cute!
